I wish I could claim it, but it was the mom who found the beautiful, old California mission for this photo shoot and not me. It was very fitting, because after years of our families living in Southern California, we were both moving out of state that summer. The old missions represent part of California’s historical past and gave a visual of where T spent most of her youth.
I first met this beautiful young lady when she was my daughter’s little sister in Volleyball. Then we got to know the whole family when our son’s were in the same Scout troop. They were part of our village. Our tribe. Unfortunately, Covid hit at the end of T’s Senior year of high school. The schools closed down in March, and she finished her senior year at home. It was more important than ever that we get senior photos of T, so that she had these last memories of high school.
